On-Site Training
Staff training and support is an important piece of successful program implementation. Training directly prepares teachers to present the lessons, and in the process helps to instill teacher confidence, enthusiasm, and commitment to program goals.
School-Connect® trainers can come to your school or district for a one-day Teacher Training or a two-day Trainer Training. We understand that teachers and district trainers have varied needs based on their experience with social and emotional learning and on the program implementation model the school or district will be following. A pre-training needs assessment will help us to tailor the in-service to meet the needs of your school or district.
School-Connect Staff Training (1-day) prepares teachers to present the lessons and integrate program strategies into academic content and the life of the school. Administrators and support personnel learn to offer on-going implementation support, measure program outcomes, and improve sense of community within the school.
School-Connect Trainer Training (2-days) prepares participants to provide a one-day Staff Training for their school and/or other schools in their district. Participants learn how to train teachers in program strategies, develop staff buy-in, and provide implementation support. Participants receive a CD-R of training handouts and the School-Connect Power Point Presentation.
Regional Training
School-Connect will offer regional one-day Staff Trainings and two-day Trainer Trainings in Washington D.C. and Los Angeles, CA during the 2006-2007 school year. Dates and locations are pending.
